hey marcia -
i'm from ca and longboard too - last year in troncones i stayed at the inn at manzanillo bay (great place!) they've got a really well stocked surf shop with a good selection of ra longboards for rent - i think it was 15 bucks a day? could have been as much as 25 - i forgot.
anyway, right in front of the inn is a little point - fun surf - take off's were a little hairy on lower tide - lot's of boils and nasty rocks -
be sure to hit saladita - 45 mins north - longboard paradise - lefts forever.
at the inn, be sure to tell say hi to mike and wynn from dave - we had rented 8 of their bungalows for my wedding!
